I had to uninstall Firefox for Android because I was having problems logging in to sync. I got a support e-mail to uninstall and reinstall because the sync issue had been fixed. I uninstalled the Firefox app and then when I tried to reinstall it I get the error message on my phone "the requested item could not be found." HELP!

Some supported phones are not displaying Firefox in the Market for some reason. We're still investigating this. You can check if your phone is supported here:

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android

and then download the app directly from here:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/4.0b3/android-r7/multi/

(Note: If your phone is from AT&T, you will have to search for instructions on "sideloading" the APK file, since AT&T disables the option to install from non-Market sources.)

I, too, am having this issue. Started a Discussion Thread before I was directed here by a user on the Mozillazine Firefox Forum.

I was confused when it didn't show in the Androin App Market. And of course, the download from HERE is not possible due to the error message.

Hopefully this can be addressed soon.

According to THIS, Matt Brubeck, one of the engineers on the Firefox mobile team, said that the next beta build of Firefox for Android will be released to the android market.

On some supported devices, a bug prevents Firefox from appearing in the Market. This may be related to the fairly recent Market update. If you go to "Settings: Applications: Manage Applications: Market" and choose "Uninstall," you can uninstall the Market update, and then search for and install Firefox from the marketplace.

(The "Matt Brubeck" in that article is me.)

This problem still appears to be unresolved. I have a WonderMedia WM8650 8" tablet with an ARMv9 processor (which, according to the system requirements page, should work with Firefox), and I cannot install Firefox, not even manually. :-(

You have an arm9 processor. Sadly the ARM processor names are quite opaque. An ARM9 processor is an ARMv4 or ARMv5 class processor and not compatible with Firefox.
