Since I did the 3.6.12 update when I am in Yahoo mail and I have tabs currently open, whenever I open a new tab by clicking any link within my mail (Facebook comments, etc) the new tab no longer goes to the RIGHT side of all my existing tabs like it used to do. Instead it goes to the 2nd slot (1st being Yahoo mail) and when there are multiple tabs open this is really annoying to have to go back thru the tabs to get to the newly opened tab.

A couple of options, you can either install the New Tabs at the End, or change a hidden preference.

To change the hidden preference:

  1. Type about:config into the location bar and press enter
  2. Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
  3. Locate the preference browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent and double-click on it to change its value to false

You can change a preference to make tabs open

  1. at the end of all open tabs
  2. immediately after the current tab.

There are also extensions that will change that and certain other tab behaviors:

You can search the Mozilla add-ons site for other tab related add-ons: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/
