I want to know how to make a rule that forwards incoming mail to a sub folder in Tbird.

I am a convert from Outlook which has gotten unusable for gmail clients. I am happy with this mail but would like to make some rules to forward incoming mail to sub folders like "work" or "friends". Is there a way?

to do that, click the hamburger menu in upper right (three short stacked lines), then click tools and then click message filters. With filters, you can specify a condition (such as an incoming email address) and an action (such as moving to a folder). If you have further questions on this, just ask.
