When I'm on a webpage and drag the URL onto the Bookmark Toolbar it's showing up as an URL instead of the page name like it used to.

For example: If I was on this page: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35895322/sources-cowboys-trade-texans-wr-brandin-cooks

Before the last update if I dragged that URL to the Bookmark Toolbar it would say: "Cowboys trade for Texans WR Brandin Cooks"

After the update it just shows the URL.

This makes it VERY hard to remember what each bookmark is.

Can anyone help me to bring this back to using the page name instead of the URL on this Toolbar?

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or if userChrome.css/userContent.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the Default System theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

Just drag the tab or a link to the bookmarks toolbar instead of the URL in the location bar if that is what you do.

I appreciate your help but I've tried that and the same thing still happens.

Can anyone else help me?

Can you tell us which extension caused this issue as this might help others with the same problem ?
