I recently changed my website. I got somebody to re-design it and changed the link on my website so it links to the new website. The issue is with security certificates. Since I changed the website these Lets Encrypt certificates haven't been able to re new and have now expired.

As soon as these certificates expired Thunderbird stopped receiving any new emails. The only way I can access my emails is from the webmail.

Does anyone know why Thunderbird would have stopped getting emails? I can still send emails from Thunderbird but it won't receive new emails. When I click 'get messages' it says it is connected to my website but doesn't do anything else.

Do I need to change the settings in the preferences section?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried getting help from my website support but they can't help in regards to Thunderbird issue.

Thank you!

The connection will be encrypted and Thunderbird like a responsible net citizen does not accept expired certificates.

I suggest you contact your web site people and ask them to fix the lets encrypt certificates to auto renew as most web browsers will simply refuse to display a web site with an expired certificate.
