Thunderbird has stopped importing emails?

I installed thunderbird 78.7.1 (64-bit) a few days ago and hooked in my gmail with pop as I want to download all my emails and keep local copies off-line. Everything was syncing fine but very slowly, a few messages would trickle in at a time. I seem to have gotten 2011-2014 emails and everything has stopped. No new emails, no old emails, nothing is coming in anymore, it's ground to a halt. Filters have also stopped working... but the other emails I have are syncing fine. Just not my main account, I tried rebooting in safe mode and that didn't do anything either. Any ideas?

Have you possibly reached the 1250MB daily limit?

Buggers. That might be it. Thank you. The link refers to workspace(or gsuite), this applies to regular free accounts too, I assume? Is there a way to confirm? Some googling tells me they just dont want to talk about this and I assume there is probably no way to verify.

I assume this is also why TB has only been able to download 100 messages per log-in?

Right-click the Inbox in the Folder Pane, Properties. What is Size on disc? I don't know if 1250MB applies as well to consumer accounts (see Bandwidth Limit), or why there is a 100 per login limit.

You could move old mail to another folder through webmail, leaving recent mail in the Inbox (which is all that POP downloads).

1.4GB for inbox now, so very possible i hit that yesterday, not 100% sure what I took down in total yesterday over 24hours but it might be near that. So far TB was taking in email from old to newer, 6 more years to go before we get to today.

Unfortunately it has not began syncing again after the 24hour mark lapsed... any other ideas?

You could consider using Google Takeout to download the mail in mbox format, and then set the account in gmail settings to only download POP mail 'that arrives from now on'.
