Hi everyone i have had a problem for about 4 weeks now and its driving me crazy and i cant figure it out. I think it has to do with security certificates but im not totally sure. Every time i log into my bank account i have to go threw them sending a one time security code to my cell phone. This hasn't been the case in the past. Is there a switch or something im missing any help would be greatly appreciated...

hello, as this problem is not directly tied to firefox we won't really be able to help you with that. please reach out to the customer support of your banking institution to inquire about this instead. thank you for your understanding!

The funny part about your reply is a couple of things first off that's what the bank already told me to contact Firefox witch you never even asked me if i did call or not and secondly that it seems as if you don't even care about the issue at all. Since i already contacted my banking institution you may want the phone number to contact them because i got nowhere with them. S&T Bank 1-800-325-2265. I have ran the web site with your competitors software Chrome and edge and it works fine with those browsers but does not work in yours pretty much since the new update 77/78. I have been using Firefox for years and love the browser but so far I'm not impressed with the support. Then again most tech companies now want to throw a product out there with no support just because they don't want to pay people to be on the phone supporting there product. What a shame.

It looks like your bank - S&T Online - has enabled two-factor authentication to protect your account from fraud and hackers. When you login to your bank account, you will be sent a special code by text or email, typically to your cell phone, that you must also enter into the bank login page to gain entry. More banks now suggest that users login with the two-factor login to protect their accounts.

This is not something that Firefox controls.

This is how two-factor authentication (2FA) that the website or you appears to have enabled works. This 2FA feature is an extra security layer and you always need to enter a TOTP security code in addition of the password. This can be a code generated via an app on a mobile device or in your case a text message that is send. Note that the latter can be a security risk as is it possible to hack the server that sends these text messages.

Mozilla also supports this 2FA feature for the Firefox Account.

If this is true then why doesn't Microsoft edge or google chrome do the same thing?
