I send emails once or twice a week to the 400 members of my bowls club. These are not marketing emails they are simply to inform members of what is happening at the bowls club and they are only sent to those members that have indicated that they wish to receive these emails. This has been working fine for several months and then last week our email address was blocked as we are suspected of spamming. How can I continue emailing my members please without falling into this problem again?

The reason you send mails is totally irrelevant, the volume and frequency is key. That you send 400 probably puts you in violation of your providers (non commercial) term of use and most receiving providers will also classify you as a spammer, particularly as you have done it more than once.

You will need to use something like mailchimp. https://mailchimp.com/pricing/ It looks like you might qualify for their free offering. It is the service the Thunderbird project uses for their bulk mailings to donors. Alternatively you might want to use a mailing list something like provided by topicbox https://www.topicbox.com/pricing
