T-Bird 68.5.0 (32-bit) When I close out T-Bird the message pain selection changes on me automatically. Go to View, Layout, Message Pain F8. I don't want this selection cause it opens emails on its own. I uncheck this selection all the time and but it keeps returning. Using Windows 10 .

Thanks,

Help/Troubleshooting, click Open Folder, close TB, delete or rename session.json. When you restart TB, close the Message Pane (F8), then restart TB. The Message Pane should remain closed. If not, check that you don't have an app like CCleaner acting on TB, as it resets things that are stored in the json file.
