I tried starting in safe mode and refreshing Firefox without help. Keyboard short cut, dropdown menu or pressing on star does not create a short cut. There are no new add ons. I could remove what is there and try, but I doubt that this will help.

Hello Silenus,

If Safe Mode didn't make a difference; would you try this please :

3-bar menu => Help (at the bottom) => Troubeshooting Information, and scroll all the way down to "Places Database".

There you'll see "Integrity" - please click "Verify Integrity".

If that doesn't help, then on the "about:support" page scroll down to "Profile Folder" and click on "Open Folder".

With Firefox closed remove any places.sqlite files in your profile folder (with Firefox closed) :

Thanks very much your answer probably would have worked. I just got finished deleting all the Mozilla files from AppData and reinstalling. The book marks now work fine. I assume that something in AppData was messed up, probably what you suggested. Forgive me for being in a hurry!
