I've set up Firefox's to sync to 2 computers, but they are now duplicating the other bookmarks, and are causing me to have multiple copies of the same bookmark

My bookmarks tab has started to duplicate itself. Not the folders itself- but the websites are duplicating, so if I have to search for one I will have 200 of the same website coming up, when I only want to see one of it and then the rest of the search.

If you have sync, and there is a problem anywhere, Shut Down Sync Immediately On All Devices to prevent the problem from spreading. Once the problem is fixed, perform the same repair on all computers/profiles before using sync again.

Close and remove the current sync.

Once you have corrected the bookmarks problem, you have two choices.

1) Copy the places.sqlite (History and Bookmarks) file to the other system, overwriting the current file.

2) Remove the places.sqlite file on the other system.

Using the 'good' system, create a new sync account. After the sync data is, err, 'synced,' have the other system sync.
