I can sort bookmarks in the folders but not the side bar. How can I do It?
I want to have easier access to my bookmarks. I want to have them show in the side bar from A-Z. They show this way in the folders but not the side bar. All the bookmarks in the side bar seem to be listed under "recently bookmarked" most are months if not years old. HOw do I get organized?

That long drop-down list is the Library menu. The Recently Bookmarked list there is strictly chronological so that's not sortable.
Since you have lots of room on your main toolbar, consider adding the optional Bookmarks Menu button (). Either:
(A) Use the Customize panel (Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars) to drag the icon to the desired spot on the toolbar
(B) Use the method from Bookmarks in Firefox - section entitled: How do I add the Bookmarks Menu button to the toolbar?
- Click the "Library" button:
- Click "Bookmarks"
- Click "Bookmarking Tools"
- Click "Add Bookmarks Menu to Toolbar"
Is that one more usable?

You can right click on the folders, and select "Order by name".
The image below show where I want to sort my bookmarks. The drop down on the right.
That looks like the results from an extension and isn't about bookmarks from Firefox. I see AOL Mail and Compose and Search Mail.
So you would have to check the settings of this extension.
That simply is the desktop screen after I open Firefox. I was checking my e-mail and writing this e-mail thus AOL. Like I said it is the drop down on the right that comes after you click on the bookmarks icon that concerns me. I want the bookmarks there to be alphebetized from A-Z.
