I run firefox as my main browser, mainly to read stories on the site fanfiction.net. i have noticed for a while now that when i scroll down the page on that site, and sometimes on a few other sites, the screen will blink. after that, when scrolling down i will find a point where the site cuts off and i see nothing but blank screen. If i reload the page, it will go back to normal. i am not sure what causes this, as it usually only happens on the fanfiction site, though again, there are a few times that it has happened elsewhere. i hope someone might be able to aid me in figuring this out

Is this with many websites, some, a few?

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.
