I selected PRINT from the drop down menu and needed to scale the font size to make the document fit on one page. I first selected 80% but that was too small (90% was too big); I attempted to use the CUSTOM setting at 85 but the '80' that was in the box was not deleted and the custom setting ended up being 8580 when I hit ok -- which was clearly not ok and it froze in a waiting screen. I had to back out of Firefox completely and rebooted my computer. However, now when I attempt to select PRINT from the drop down menu, NOTHING appears. HELP! What do I need to do to go back to the drop down box PRINT selection working correctly??

The problem ended up resolving itself! When I came into work this morning, everything was fine, but thank you for responding and trying to help :)

Try to reset this pref on the about:config page or set its value to 1.00 (100%).

  • print.print_scaling = 1.00

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

my about:config does not have a 'print.print_scaling' line item so this did not fix my issue.

There can be a separate one for each printer --

print.printer_name.print_scaling

If you put scaling in the search box at the top of about:config, you should be able to find it. Unless Firefox never saved it, but since you have customized it at least once, you should see it.
