turn off sounds, Facebook sounds
Why all of a sudden do I get annoying sounds on Facebook when I like and/or share a post? Until about 2 weeks ago, this wasn't happening. It's annoying as hell. This does not happen on my computer, only on my phone or tablet.

I should be able to help you with this.
- From the Android home screen, open the Settings app (typcially a cogwheel.
- Open Sound & Notification
- Select App notifications
- Select the app whose notifications you wish to change and change the settings as required.

If I were using the Facebook app, it would work, but I'm I'm using the Firefox browser on my phone & tablet. They were literally silent one day & making popping noises the next. My laptop doesn't make a peep. :-(

Yes, you can go through the same process, but instead of selecting Facebook as the app, you can select Firefox for Android.

The settings are turned off & I still get the Facebook sounds.
