I have a couple of servers showing there SSL certificate will expire soon. I check in the FF options - view certificates and find the corresponding cert in the Server section. I have added a new cert to the "Your Certificates" & "Authorities". However it does not update the one in the Server store which keeps reporting about to expire.

How do I import a server certificate into the server store (there is no import button). I am currently using Firefox ESR 52.3.0.

Normally, when the certificate is updated on the web server, the server will send it to Firefox automatically and you don't need to import anything yourself.

So if you have control over the web servers, I suggest looking into updating the servers directly.

I have control over the servers. One is a vCenter server and I have gone through the process to update all the certificates and apply them. They are now good until 2020.

However Firefox only is reading the server cert from its local store which expires in 2018 and does not update it.

If you delete the currently stored server certificate from Firefox's Certificate Manager dialog and visit the site again, does it pick up the new one?

The Server tab normally only stores exceptions that you made. If you once made an exception then you need to remove this exception.

Who is the issuer of the certificate since you shouldn't have to create an exception?
