I recently checked my POP email via the web and noticed that emails remain in the inbox folder at server when I drag them from my Thunderbird inbox to a storage folder. My server setting 'delete email at server when deleted at pc' when I used WLM 2012 (before recently changing to TBird), any email dragged from my pc inbox caused the mail to be deleted at the server.

Is this not possible using TBird/do I have to copy mail to another folder rather than drag and then delete original? Otherwise I will need to change to delete at server when downloaded at TBird which is not ideal. Thanks Ron

copying (dragging) is not a delete as far as that options is concerned for pop accounts. You will also find that unless you have specifically changed the setting that Hotmail does not delete the mail even when Thunderbird tries to. it moves it to a pop folder.
