Ad by Advertise
Hi guys, since a couple of days i am having strange Ads on my browser. It shows on random sites and places. It is not exactly a pop up. Some words in the web page that i am viewing are marked as a hyper link when i roll over i see this(check image). As you can it says "Ad by Advertise", i searched google for it , suggestions are to check your control panel , browser extensions , task manager , i did it all , didn't see anything suspicious and that's why i am asking here. Thank"s for the help.

Hi, I'm not sure that this is malware, so first check your pop-up blocker settings - Pop-up blocker settings, exceptions and troubleshooting.
Also try an ad-blocker add-on like Adblock Plus.
If that doesn't help, you can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller
- AdwCleaner (for more info, see this alternate AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus built-in already.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Specific instructions from a reputable site
- (malwaretips.com Filed Under: Adware ) Remove “Ads by Advertise” adware (Virus Removal Guide) https://malwaretips.com/blogs/ads-by-advertise-removal/
Those instructions look pretty generic but probably work. They include scanning with Malwarebytes; as already advised by Scribe. That is not surprising, as it is from their site ! Some of the steps are marked as optional. If the procedure fails they have a forum that will advise you on the next course of action.
