When I attempt to download an add on, I get a message that I need to install FF first
I have a dozen add ons that work well. When I try to download another, I get the above message. I'm accessing the site using FF. I've tried re-downloading FF, but the same thing keeps happening.
The same issue happened to me in late 2015, but things were OK in early January. Now the issue is back.

Phony (Android mobile) uses a WebKit user agent. You will need to set it to default to install extensions.

Is this when you access the Mozilla Add-ons site from Firefox for Android or a desktop version?
Do any of your existing add-ons modify the user agent string sent to websites?
I'm using Android. I wouldn't imagine any of the add ons do. They are the same ones I've had for a long time except for the Seahawks logo persona.
I use Adblock Plus, Enable YouTube Player, Flash Video Player YouTube, Ghostery, OpenH264 codec, PDF viewer (disabled, want to reinstall), Phony (used as Android mobile), Privacy Coach, Quit Now, Self - Destructing Cookies, and the Seattle Seahawks one.
