How to sync tab groups between computers?
Hello, maybe someone can finally find a solution to my problem...
I'm already using the FIrefox Sync option, and I love how it works. I like how it saves my bookmarks, history, passwords, etc. and this is easily accessible between my laptops.
There's only one problem I'm having, that is how to sync tab groups between computers? I already know I can click on 'Tabs from other devices' but this will either open them individually or you can select more than one but in no way I'm seeing my tabs in groups. I have so many tabs and I have six groups.
I already tried using other apps like Session Manager, Tab Cloud, Session Box, and they all do the same. They are great at saving your tabs but none of them save them in groups. When I try to open them all the links will open in one group.
Does anyone know how to seamlessly sync tab groups between computers? Thanks in advance.

Hi vegsire, creating tab folders in bookmarks also is a good approach because it is far less fragile than tab groups in session history data.

I don't know who "we" is in that reply. ?!
Unfortunately, the feature request on file in the bug tracking system has been marked as "WONTFIX" because as of Dec. 2012, the product team decided not to further develop the tab groups feature. It is what it is for the time being. Perhaps there will be more enthusiasm in the future, but I suspect nothing will change in the short run (3-6 months).
As for workarounds, the session data file from one Firefox could be passed to another Firefox but merging changes between the Firefoxes sounds complicated.
I appreciate your responses. I'm not sure where I saw it, but the following solution worked for me...
Go to one of the group of tabs you want to save, right click on one of the tabs and select 'Bookmark All Tabs...' Give it a name, and this will create a folder in your bookmarks and whenever you sync your data, this folder will also appear there. Now in your other computer or wherever you need to see this group, just select the option 'Open All in Tabs' Repeat the steps for each group.
This method worked perfectly for me!
