Suddenly after years of successful printing from my browser I cannot! The print on either of my computers approximately 20% of the correct size and I have to copy and paste to Word or download in another format to print. This tells me that it is definitely Firefox issue and I have spent over 2 months trying to diagnose the change?

Two months! You must be a very patient person.

When you go to the Preview screen using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > Print
  • (menu bar) File > Print Preview

Can you test with the scaling set to 100% instead of Shrink to Fit. Does switching between those change what is displayed by Print Preview?

Firefox learns your current/default paper size by extracting information from the printer driver. Occasionally Firefox will get that wrong and think your printer uses small sizes of paper, and will shrink the printout to fit, for example, in the upper left quarter of the page. If that sounds like what you're setting, you may need to reset the printer data saved in Firefox. This article has suggestions on how to do that: Fix printing problems in Firefox (item 4).
