Uri, I am happy that chkdsk worked. However as far as I am aware you can Shift Click the Firefox Icon to start it in Safe Mode. Just to double check, is this not working anymore?

Hi uri.argaman, The Javascript api is being called on start up, do you have a homepage that calls a script? If it does not start, this would be hard to change. In safe mode, can you change the homepage or the page that is loading the JavaScript?

If this is not the case, you may need to start with the profile manager to see if its the installation. Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles

You can also back up the profile Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles if it ends up needing a Clean reinstall.

Thanks for your reply. All of these solutions require Firefox to start in order to do them so there is no point of giving them as solutions to my problem. Maybe you should consider bringing back the option to start the browser on safe mode like in the good old days when Firefox was a great browser.

Anyway my problem was local and was solved by running chkdsk.

Thanks for the effort.

Thank you guigs2! I was trying the shift method and it didn't work. Now I see it works so maybe it also was my problem. Good to know you still have this option. Thanks again!
