Why can't I drag and drop to rearrange bookmarks?
Drag-and-drop is not working to rearrange bookmarks in the Bookmarks Toolbar, the "Show all Bookmarks" window, or in the Bookmarks menu. I can "Cut" and "Paste" to rearrange things, and that works in all three, but that's the only way.
I'm running Windows 8.1 x64, and Firefox 31.0

Had a similar problem (could not drag tabs, nor bookmarks, to rearrange them) with FF 32.0.3. Tried rebooting with add-ons disabled, but it still didn't work. Then tried disabling and re-enabling hardware acceleration, and it started working without reboot. After rebooting with add-ons enabled, it kept working. Weird.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
I started Firefox normally, and drag-and-drop continued to not function, so I restarted in Safe Mode, and it then worked. I then tried disabling Hardware Acceleration, and after a restart back into normal mode with HW accel. disabled, it worked. I then re-enabled HW accel., and restarting a fourth time, drag-and-drop still works. Odd, but at least it now works.
Thanks!

Nightly 36 here and i am unable to drag anything (my focus are pictures). It works on safe mode but, have nothing to do with addon compatibility since it don´t work even on a fresh install and disabling hardware acceleration did nothing.
Any "about:config" ideas ?
PS: Bring back "Hic sunt dracones"
