I share articles I read frequently. on my android tablet Firefox includes the title and url when I select share. When I select share via muy droid bionic, Firefox only includes the url. Both are version 27. This lack of title makes Firefox on my phone less than ideal. I can't seem to find any settings that control behavior. Any ideas?

Hi BrianScheffer,

I am sorry to hear that this is not consistent on both devices. There are a few things we can do to troubleshoot this issue. Please see if there are any add ons that are saving the articles for you, as sharing an article on a website through a mobile browser will vary from website to website. Some will implement a share button on the page itself too. There is a reading list option if you hold onto the tile bar there will be an icon that looks like an open book. This will add the item to the reading list. If you have Firefox sync set up they will be available ideally on each device. Please provide the steps you are taking when you see this happen, and we will be happy to further investigate.

If the above information does not resolve your issue, please consider creating a new thread containing the specific details of your issue.

Doing so will allow the Mozilla volunteers to give you solutions that are more helpful to you. This may help them to solve your problem faster and more efficiently.

Please, feel free to post the link to your thread on this thread for volunteers interested in assisting you.

Thank you.

thanks for the reply. I'm not referring to sharing through a website, I'm referring too sharing through Firefox for android. Here are the steps I go through.

tablet read article and decide it's worth sharing press the menu in Firefox on my tablet from the menu select "share" select the app i want to share the article with the app opens with the title followed by the url.

droid bionic read article and determine its worth sharing press the menu button on my droid bionic (this is a hardware menu button, as the software menu button available on my tablet is not on the Firefox version on my bionic. from muy perspective the resulting menus for both are the same) select "share" from the menu and select the app I want to share with the app opens with the url,I have to type in the title

I checked and both versions of Firefox are stock, no add-ons.

hope this helps

As a side note, yesterday I bought a new Nexus 5. I downloaded and installed a fresh version of Firefox from the Google play store, Version 27, No add-ons, and I get the same experience I noted in my Bionic even though Firefox on my Nexus has the software menu button in the top right of the application. So I have to read article, press the menu button, and select "share", and type in the title once the App opens with just the URL.
