How do I set the tab bar to be besides the Firefox menu button when Firefox' window is maximized?
I.e. How do I set this: http://i.imgur.com/Mkyvz.png to be like this: http://i.imgur.com/ZvxJS.png ?
This happens on Firefox 12. Its tab bar layout changed when I upgraded to Firefox 12 from 11. I am using Firefox Portable.
I've already read these support.mozilla.org posts: How do I get the Firefox menu and tabs to go on one line? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/853855#answer-219512 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/861135?e=es&as=aaq
This happens even when Firefox' window is maximized. I tried customizing the toolbar but can't seem to find the proper arrangement.

Please try the following:
- Firefox > Options > Untick then retick 'Tabs On Top'
If that doesn't work
- Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout > Restore Default Set
Please note the 2nd one will restore the default toolbar layout so you may need to rearrange your toobars if you had made changes.
Hope that helps but post back if that doesn't work.
I tried the first solution (also tried restarting Fx between the toggling) but it didn't work. The second solution also doesn't work (also tried restarting Fx).
I also tried checking what "browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar" in about:config is set to. It is already set to 'true'.
I should also mention that the issue happens with Firefox Portable (editing my question to reflect this).

Firefox Portable is an edited version of firefox. It's not exactly the same as the standard browser released by mozilla.
It sounds like the portable apps developers have made a change to firefox 12 that has resulted in the change in toolbar layout. I suggest getting in touch with them to ask if there is any way to reverse the change. Possibly they are not aware of it yet. There is a support page here:
