Why is a new tab not opening?
I recently updated to Firefox 10. I often go on website called BayCrazy which has lots of links to Ebay. Before the update, when I clicked on a link from BayCrazy, a new tab opened up with the item on Ebay, now when I click a link on BayCrazy, the page I'm on changes to Ebay. Its very inconvenient cos I'm having to keep clicking the "back" button to get back to BayCrazy, especially if I take a detailed look at the Ebay item...I might have to click back four or 5 times. How can I get it to go back to how it was?

Try to middle-click the link to open the link in a new tab.
The site may have changed the code if the links no longer open in a new tab.

Links/Bookmarks do not open in new tabs by default in any version of Firefox; left-click a link or Bookmark opens in the current tab. You may have had some Add-on installed that did that for you. To open a link or Bookmark in a new tab you can do any of the following:
- press the mouse scroll wheel on a link or Bookmark
- hold down the CTRL key while left-clicking the link or Bookmark
- right-click the link or Bookmark and choose "Open in a New Tab"
- See:
Add-ons:
- https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tab-utilities-lite/
- https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tab-utilities/
- https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tab-mix-plus/
If you previously used the Tabberwocky extension ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tabberwocky/ ) in Firefox 3.6, the developer stopped updating it after Firefox 3.7a3pre and you may see it in your Add-ons > Extensions marked as not compatible.

Thanks to both of you for your help. Safebrowser, the things you suggest all work, but I want the link to open in a new tab automatically...I don't want to have to choose every time. Thanks to both of you for coming up with the solution of "middle clicking"..I've tried it and it works :-)
You're welcome.
I see a target specified in the links, but I don't know if current Firefox versions are ignoring such a target in cases like this.
