MS said to go to WgaPluginInstaller.exe pop up window. What is it and where is it?
I got a virus Wed and had it fixed. But it is running slow and my display setting won't work. Tried to install MS Security Essentials but tells me can't validate that I might be a victim of software counterfeiting. I bought a refurbished PC last year. Windows told me to in the WgaPluginInstaller.exe pop up window, select Save File. Can't find Wga Plugin Installer.exe pop up window. I have Windows XP and use Mozilla.

When downloading any Microsoft software it is probably easier to just use IE for the download, than it is to mess around with that silly Windows Genuine Advantage plugin for Firefox.
Microsoft wants to scan your entire PC with their WGA crap and look for counterfeit versions of their software before allowing you to install any more of their software. Don't even think that they are looking out for your interests by doing that, they are protecting their "bottom line". The real problem comes about when their "scan" produces incorrect results, which it does like 15% of the time, and they condemn legal software with the proper "Product Key".
