Add-on Compatibility Reporting says operating system is Windows NT6.0 I'm using Vista
I'm trying to report on the Google Toolbar Add-on 7.1.20110512W using Add-on Compatibility Reporter 0.8.7. When I click on "compatibility" & select "this add on still works" the compatibility reporting box states operating system: "Window NT 6.0" Is this supposed to be my operating system? My operating system here at work is Windows Vista, and the Google tool bar works. On my home computer the operating system is Windows XP and I have not yet been able to get the Google toolbar to work. I am still working on it.

So the Add-on Compatibility Reporter is reading my version correctly enough for my reporting to be helpful in determining whether the Google Toolbar Add-on is compatible with Firefox 5.0? I had looked up what NT 6.0 was, but I came up with more than one version of Windows, so I wasn't sure it was specific enough.

Google is no longer supporting Firefox with their Google Toolbar as of 5.0 and newer. Some people say many of the Google toolbar features still work in Firefox 5.0 if they force install it.

Google toolbar works with my Vista desktop computer, but not on my XP desktop since I updated both my computers to Mozilla Firefox 5. Can you direct me to info on a force install?
