No items brought up on a Firefox internet search show a green "flag" on the right-hand side showing they are safe according to my AVG2011.

The green flags or icons do appear when I use Internet Explorer, but I like Firefox better, so please help me get this security feature going.

Please don't suggest that I go to Norton security, because that program clashes with my system and caused it to crash repeatedly.

I would never suggest going to Norton :)

Is the safe search add-on shown as enabled in the add-ons manager? (Click the Orange Firefox button, then select Add-ons to open the add-ons manager). If it has been disabled because it is not compatible you will need to update AVG, for details see http://free.avg.com/us-en/faq#num-4223

I selected Add-ons but that didn't get me to add-ons "manager."
