In speeddial options, what is the difference between exporting dials and exporting dial settings?

I want to back up the links my dials are set to so if my computer crashes or I have to change a hard drive, etc. I don't loose all those pages. I would like to book mark them so then I can upload them to Xmarks but the only way I know how to do that is to open each page then bookmark it but I also want my dials saved. What is the difference between exporting dials and exporting dial settings? Do I have to do both to save my dial set up AND the links they are connected to?

"Export Dials" will just export the list of sites that you use with Speed Dial. "Export Settings" will export the settings that you have set up in the options dialog and the list of sites.
