There are no drop downs or screens to address the problem. I cannot read email without scrolling left to right because the font is about 16. Hotmail support suggests I contact my browser for answers. How do I make it smaller?

Have you tried using Ctrl-minus to shrink them? Ctrl-plus will enlarge them. Last size remains until you change it.

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems: View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)
