since upgrading to firefox3.6.4, the realplayer downloading videos function no longer works, this happens everytime a firefox new version is upgraded. Why is it so annoying? And why can't this be fixed?

Like everyone else, I can no longer save videos using Realplayer, nor can I get an older version of Firefox to install. I give it 24 hours and then I switch to Chrome.
See here, its Real player modifying Adobe Flash.

There is also a bug filed with Mozilla for this.
in vista, too
since upgrading to firefox3.6.4, the realplayer downloading videos function no longer works, I think that I have just wasted an hour trying to find a solution, very annoying
Switching to Chrome! FireFox blew it on this one... again!
This is now multiple times experiencing issues with Firefox and RealPlayer. Multiple version of Firefox and Windows - Not at all pleased. Last I saw is we are once again waiting on updates for both RealPlayer and Firefox. For now it still works in IE (don't care for a less secure browser!). Interested to know if anyone else has a valid solution to make it work with Firefox. - Thanks All!
Same problem. Can't download to Real Player since upgrading to Firefox 3.6.4. Would like to be notified when a solution is on the horizon.
Just downloaded update to version 3.6.6. Problem is still there.
FireFox needs to get its act together regarding RealPlayer! It has become an unacceptable annoyance that every time FireFox upgrades, the RealPlayer video download feature won't work!! Are you really serious about becoming the "best browser" or not!??!
Very annoying...
Why Firefox continues to ignore this problem it has with EVERY new version is unclear. You are losing a hell of a lot of users like me
THIS IS NOT A FIREFOX PROBLEM OR A MOZILLA/FIREFOX RESPONSIILITY. CHROME IS ALSO AFFECTED BY THIS SAME PROBLEM!!!
It is the responsibility of third-party developers (i.e., Real) to use the alpha and beta testing periods, before the release of any browser, to test and confirm compatibility with changes made in the new browser. Real is always late in releasing updates to make their products compatible with new browser releases. They do not seem to be concerned about keeping their users happy and satisfied with their products. You can search this forum or anyplace else on the internet and find similar complaints following the release of browser updates.
ALWAYS check with the site of the developer for updates to add-ons before starting the blame game.
There are much better products than RealPlayer, in my opinion, and have not had RealPlayer on my system in years!!
Here is a link to the solution; upgrade your RealPlayer, if you choose (read next to the "A" in the big red circle): http://real.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7303/p/3/c/2222/r_id/119487
Thanks TXGuy
That's the solution. Just did the download and all is well. Thank you so very much for the postings.
