Stuck in Desktop Mode
Hi, my browser on my tablet keeps making all tabs stuck in desktop mode with no way to turn it off. It started happening today when it updated to the latest Firefox Android 133. The desktop mode toggle is set to off, and when I click it it still is set to off and it's still in Desktop mode. When I copy the URL to another tab I can turn desktop mode off, but that gets reset to on whenever the browser is killed in the background.
I've tried force closing the app and clearing cache, any help would be appreciated.

Desktop mode browsing is now enabled by default for large devices. This can be controlled via a preference under Settings in "Site settings" previously named "Site permissions".
There is still the issue of the desktop mode toggle not working for tabs that were opened previously. Any new tabs have a working desktop mode toggle, but any old tabs have a broken desktop mode toggle.
What type of device are you using?
Since I myself have exactly the same issue with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S9FE ( SM-X516BEE).
However even if I manage to Disable Desktop mode; It still doesn't zoom out propably. So either way it looks more an Desktop site.
So as I myself suspects is that; either there is some sort of conflict between Firefox & yous OS( in wich buy default is locked either way in some Desktop mode), or either way it's as simpel as some one posted the LINUX Version( on Play store).
However since Android is based on Linux( mirrored/ emulated). As everybody knows that Linus is an Unix OS that is PC- based.
I have a Lenovo Tab M9. I doubt that its because of the OS, this seems to be a Firefox issue.

I understand that you guys put a setting in 'Site Settings'. But, please understand, the first place a user will go, to fix this problem, is to the 'Desktop Site' toggle. How are we supposed to find out that 'Site Settings' is the where we need to go? I've been writing software for 25 years. I understand why you guys chose to have the 'Desktop Site' toggle in an 'off' state, but 'off' is the wrong state. Disabled. It should have been disabled. That would tell the user that this isn't the right place to fix this. But, still, where? How do I find out where to go? Tapping the toggle, in a disabled state, should have put up a tooltip stating what to do.
For me, toggling the setting in 'Site Settings' appears to have fixed the issue.
I want to add one more issue. I have a Samsung Fold 3. Sites were opening in Desktop mode when using the ultra slim front screen. Also, even if I were 20 years younger, I doubt I could use the sites in Desktop mode on the larger inner screen. Even with reading glasses on, I wouldn't be able to interact with anything, unless, I use the s-pen. (It's way too small for my fingers.)
