I am deploying Mozilla Firefox using Intune. The application is deployed no problem but there is always the error in Intune portal. I was told that Mozilla Firefox has custom return codes to indicate post-installation behavior. That is why though the application itself is installed and works properly on the device, Intune portal does not know the status of the installation and gives the error. This error causes a lot of issues to the further application management. Dose any one knows what those codes are? Or maybe can point into the correct direction on how to get them. Thank you.

I've done some looking into this and we're not seeing that we're putting a different error code.

Are you using the full installer or stub installer?

Is there a specific message from Intune?

Good day Mike,

I am using .msi as the installer. The application itself is installed on the end point but Intune has the following error 0x8000FFFF in the portal and as the result the further management of the application is difficult. Usually the .msi deployment is very straight forward. I was told that Mozilla Firefox is using a custom return codes to indicate post-installation behavior as the result Intune gives the installation error as it does not know that the application was installed correct.

Is it possible you're seeing this?

We're definitely not returning that code, it seems to be coming from the MSI.
