Might there be a way of telling my Firefox to autoclose a specific popup on a specific site? There are half a dozen sites I use regularly that have ones that are useless to me but that use a method not caught by the standard "block pop-up windows" (yes, I have it enabled). It would be such a convenience, in particular when following news links around. And to default to "accept all cookies" on popups would also be very helpful (I enable the Clear history when Firefox closes option to reduce tracking). I've read about uBlock Origin: does it allow me to start my own list and add to it when I'm on a page that has the problem? And, doesn't 'blocking' have to tell the site? autoclosing wouldn't.

You can block pop-ups for specific sites using the Page Info window, from Tools on the menu bar or ctl+i then Permissions tab.

Sadly, Terry, blocking popups only works if it's a type of popup recognized by Firefox. My problem is with unrecognized popups. I'll have to follow Dropa's comment and find more details and user experiences with uBlock Origin.
