ui.submenuDelay

Once again the current update of Firefox (87.0) eliminated the ui.submenuDelay setting. Screwed up everything when I tried to install previous version.

ui.submenuDelay is the most important feature for me. I hate the bookmarks opening on hoover, there is no delay at all.

Please fix and remember.

So where an old-style menu has a > indicating a submenu is going to fly out, the default delay of 0.3 seconds is too fast?

Usually unless there was a change to how a preference works, it is preserved through each automatic update. Is this the only customized preference you lost? Were you able to re-create it this way:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste ui.submenuDelay and pause while the list is filtered

Assuming you see a bar with Boolean Number String:

(3) Click Number then click the + button to create the new preference and open an editing area.

(4) Type your preferred delay time in milliseconds (for example, 1000 => 1 second) and then click the blue check mark button to save the change.

(Downgrading to a previous version triggers Firefox to create a new profile, so that's a different set of issues.)
