I have tried to install 4 or 5 different video downloader addons and none of them have an icon that I can see.
My old windows 8.1 computer gave me the BSOD so I bought a new one. After installing Firefox on the new computer, I noticed any video down loader addon I installed did not display an icon, or button, or anything after it was installed. I'm not sure if this is because windows 10 doesn't like what I'm doing, or I'm doing something wrong. If you look at the attached picture, I've always seen an icon in the upper right side of the browser by the address bar, now I have nothing. Any help will be appreciated.

Hello,
Please go to Firefox menu (click on the hamburger icon) and then click on Customize.... A special tab will open which allows you to drag and drop items in or out of the overflow menu and the toolbar. You should see your aforementioned add-ons appear there. Drag and drop the icons onto the blank field next to the address bar and click Done.
Please visit Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars to learn more about how you can customize Firefox.
Hey r00adrunnr
The only video downloader I would trust is Tonec's Internet Download Manager. Works perfect with Firefox and has NO third party software. I have been using it for over 10 years without a single issue. It is powerful. The first time I tried it I entered youtube.com in the url box and it started to download the whole site. lol. What is great about it is when you go to a page with a video like youtube a small box will appear on the top right outside the video asking if you want to download it and will give you a selection of options on resolutions and formats that are available. But it will download a whole website like I said or you can select pic formats or text or whatever you want on the site. Try the trial version. Think it is full trial for 21 days. You will be impressed. Before I discovered Internet Download Manager I did not have good experiences with anything with the name youtube downloader in it. Usually full of third party malware. Good luck on your issue.
I went to the customize menu and was only able to see the addon button, not the addons I have installed. I'm assuming it is the correct menu.
- On the customize page, click on the Restore Defaults button. Do the add-ons now show up?
- If still add-ons icons are missing, please check if you have enabled Firefox to not collect any history or always start in private browsing mode (relevant question). Go to, Hamburger menu -> Options -> Privacy and Security -> History (image). Change it to Remember history.
