When did you close the browser the last time?

Hi, with 4 gig of ram should never have been upgraded to Windows 10 unless was special build.

fyi : Extensions use aprox, give or take 20megs each, ditch FB Container.

Turn Multi-Processor Support off completely : Copy/Paste about:config to the address bar then Enter. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue. In the search bar that runs the width of the page copy/paste browser.tabs.remote.autostart and wait till shows up, double click to false. Do the same for this one : browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 See if dom.ipc.processCount comes up in search and right click set to 1

Please : go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check (put a tick in the box) the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.

Optimize Virtual Ram : Go through Windows 10 settings and turn off everything in every sub category that your not using..everything, maps, delete, delete storage of maps Every setting, turn off cameras. turn off everything you can. Right Click and uninstall anything that can be uninstalled.

Open the System Folder then Click on left side Advanced System Settings which opens System Properties click the Advanced Tab then click Performance button Settings then the Advanced Tab then Click the Change under Virtual Memory click Custom Size and Change Size to where it says Recommended Size then Click Set and then Click Apply then please Re-boot.

System - -> Advanced System Settings --> System Properties - -> Advanced Tab - -> Change Virtual Memory - -> Custom Size - -> ENTER Recommended Size on both boxes - -> Set - -> Apply-- > Reboot

Please do not blockquote everything. Use it properly please as per my response.: https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_blockquote.asp

I mentioned that each Extension uses aprox 20megs of ram each.

Depending on how old this 4 gig thing is yes is possible to brick it or freeze up Firefox and any other program. If the chip has never been taken off and new thermal paste put on it. The chip runs at somewhere around temps of 40C or 100+ F

What was thing designed to load when was new, XP ?

sorry about that and my device came with windows 8.1 and then i upgraded to windows 10. also not sure if this is just a placebo effect but i upgraded to the 64 bit version of firefox (using a 64 bit device) from the 32 bit version and everything seems to have been fixed. not sure though

Hi, ok. Hope it is. 4gig is awfully low, if plan to squeeze life out of it find a used computer place and see how much for 8 gig of ram, standard now is 16gig which I strongly suggest and I have been running 32 for over 6yrs.

You get what you pay for that's for sure.

G'luck and hope it stays working.

Pkshadow, is 116 gb standart? Heh. It's dream for me. If browser spends too much RAM it's wrong.

Windows 7x64 works for 4GB well enough.
