my bookmarks have gone and I don't know where?
I'm tech savvy - have used firefox for years. But having a problem.
I've used firefox sync for a long time. Never had problems. This weekend, my computer crashed, and I've had to do a full recovery.
I've now installed firefox on the new system, logged into firefox sync and see all my bookmarks there successfully recovered. I've restarted the computer..... and they are all gone. Totally and utterly gone. I had over 2000 bookmarks that I used for different things and they've all gone.
Please help me recover them.

It is most likely that you are missing the bookmarks due to the interface change. Check the library icon or use Ctrl+B to access your bookmarks. You can get the old behaviour using Customize, see Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.
Thanks for the reply.
It really is not that though. They just aren't there - at all. My book marks are completlly empty, except the default things that pop up like Firefox Home etc.
I am speechless. I know Firefox sync is not used as a backup service, but it is failing to sync to get my actual bookmarks.
This article goes in depth into all the cases where this can happen. Please try them out to make sure we are not seeing the same error.
