I don't like the fact that I can't bookmark a site in more than one section of my toolbar. How can I do this?

Today I tried to bookmark Bill Gates' blog in more than one section on my toolbar. I wanted it in the folder "Research" and in the folder "Shopping/books". I bookmarked it in "Research", but when I tried to add the second bookmark, it would only move it, not allow duplicate bookmarks. As I use bookmarks in multiple places, this is a problem for me. How do I override this?

hi, probably using tags would be a better way of getting you bookmarks organized in this case...

There 5 ways to save a new Bookmark in Firefox:
1. {Ctrl + D} 2. Right-click and select Bookmark this Page. 3. Bookmarks > Bookmark this Page 4. Double-click the Star that is on the right side of the Location bar. 4a. (A single-click on the Star will save the new Bookmark to the Unsorted Bookmarks folder.)
The above don't directly permit the saving of duplicate bookmarks. The following methods do allow multiples of the same bookmark to be saved.
5. Left-click and drag the website image (Favicon) from in the URL bar (or on the active tab) into the Sidebar view of Bookmarks {Ctrl + B}
or to the Bookmarks menu bar item (the drop-down will open) and then onto the drop-down listing of your bookmarks and folder of bookmarks (folders will open)
or onto the Bookmarks Toolbar - the new bookmark will be saved when you release the left mouse button

Note that some of the above suggestions won't work on Mac (Ctrl+D -> Command+D).

Usually easiest is to drag the globe/padlock on the location/address bar to the combined star and "Show your bookmarks" button on the Navigation Toolbar to open the drop-down list and drop the bookmark in the folder where you want it to appear. In the Bookmarks Manager (Library; Show All Bookmarks) you can do a copy and paste via the right pane.
