I Mouseover my Firefox Taskbar icon to preview (8 tab previews) of each window. Now I only have 4 vs previously having 8. Pls help.
Usually when I Mouse-over my Firefox Taskbar icon. I can preview (EACH WINDOW opened) w/ ("Tab Previews") to know what each windows contents are quickly!! I had a total of 8 ("Tab Previews") available previously to use and if I went above 8 it would start to stack at 9. This ("Tab Previews") Feature really helps to know which window is which and it saves time! I always wished I was able to have more then just 8 windows open. Yes anyone is able to open more then 8 Windows but.... If I go above 8, it (Stacks them all) vs (tab Previews). Then I have no idea where or what each windows contents are! <sad face> . Today I was updated to (Firefox 43.0.3). Now i only have (4) (tab Previews) available or it stacks at window 5, and they are Twice the size? Why? I love Firefox and do NOT want to use any other browser, but I might have no choice if I do not get this fixed.
Pls help... Would someone anyone be so kind as to assist me with this problem? On how to correct the amount of (Tab Previews) I have. 4 is of no use to me. I need 8 or more. I need someone to inform me on how to make the amount of (Tab Previews) higher? . Ps...Coincidentally same day... A technician added a NEW USER for me and deleted my old User account on Windows 8.1 on the same day. Perhaps some setting may have been changed? I have this setting to save me time.
In Taskbar Properties:
Mine is set to: (Always Combine Hide labels)
I saw someone else wanted the opposite of me and wanted (Never combine) to have them all listed on their Taskbar Properties.
I wish to be able to mouse over the Firefox icon on my Taskbar to view ALL (tiny image/tab previews) of each open window to be able to discern which is which quickly.
Now I only have 4 LARGE vs previously having 8. Pls help.
Image is included of how HUGE these are and if i go over 4 it stacks at amount of 5...
Thanks.

I'm getting 12 Taskbar thumbnails on Windows 7 (on a full HD monitor), so I think you should be able to get many more than 4 on yours. What about other applications, do they have the same behavior?
If this affects all applications:
I'm not sure how Windows determines the minimum size of the taskbar thumbnail images. I saw an article on how to create a registry key to override the default setting, but that would be the last resort.
What version of Windows is that?
If only Firefox has this problem:
Is your Firefox set to run in Compatibility mode? You can check as follows. Either:
- right-click the desktop shortcut and choose Properties, then click the Compatibility tab
- right-click the pinned taskbar button, then right-click Mozilla Firefox, then choose Properties, then click the Compatibility tab
For best results, deselect everything, do not limit Firefox to the features of an earlier version.
Otherwise, hmm, I think this is under Windows' control, not Firefox's. ??
