Only on SOME websites. Youtube works fine. It's not a flash issue because I don't even have flash installed. I was honestly surprised that the videos even worked, I'm just assuming it's HTML5. Anyway, SOME websites, I'll click the fullscreen button and the button will have the animation so it registers my click but nothing will change. I don't really want to turn flash on >.>

Is this something related to their specific player? Should I contact the website instead? Or is this an issue with whatever it is that's allowing me to watch the videos without flash? Should I just install flash?

One of your extensions may be blocking content.

If you use extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.

I forgot to mention It still does this on safe mode

You can check the full screen permission via "Page Info > Permissions".

You can inspect and manage permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:

  • Click the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar
  • Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected
  • Go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab

I have permissions. It works using Flash (ended up installing it to test, deactivated it for now again) but whatever technology Firefox is using without flash (again, I'm assuming it's some kind of HMTL5 that mimics flash), is not letting me go fullscreen on the video. The video itself plays, the only issue is that the fullscreen button doesn't work.

Is the system too new to work on all "flash" videos? It seems to work on some but some sites still tells me I need to install flash. I actually use to have this issue with youtube a long time ago but it was fixed on youtube's end pretty quick.

So I figured out it's specifically JWPlayer videos that are having the issue. Still no fix though.

Oddly, their test video on http://www.jwplayer.com/html5/fullscreen/ works fine, but every other website I've tried their videos on has the issue.

Are there any errors in the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) about these videos?

Just one:

Use of getPreventDefault() is deprecated. Use defaultPrevented instead. jquery.min.js:5:0

I'm just assuming it's an error with the embedding or the site itself, at this point.
