Can emails from thunderbird be saved to desktop to burn on a CD?
downloaded thunderbird for emails and want to save to desktop to burn on CD can it be done? With my outlook email acct I cannot without a purchase of expensive Microsoft office? What can I do to place emails in a CD?

Save your messages as files. Look under File|Save, or right-click the required messages and look for a save option. Add-ons such as https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/ may be useful for working with large numbers of messages.
When you have saved messages as files you can then save these files however you want.
