Some of the firefox built-in search engines have several comma-separated associated shortcut keywords in Settings/Search/Search shortcuts, e. g.

• @duckduckgo, @ddg for DuckDuckGo

But if I type in several comma-separated shortcuts for any other search engine, none of them will work as expected in the address line. What is the correct way to assign several keywords for the same search engine, like it is already assigned for some default engines?

I am so frustrated. Although I'm relatively computer literate, I cannot find a way to stop that sidebar from opening up on Firefox Browser 133.0. I'm using Windows 11 Pro. I can find no button that allows me to either delete it or prevent it from opening. For heavens sake, not everyone wants all this stuff. I just want a great browser with minimal things to have to deal with. It is irritating to have to deal with this when there appears to be no simple solution to get rid of it. I do not feel comfortable with having to try to delete a profile element. Just give me the button to say I don't want it showing up when I open Firefox on my computer. It can't be that difficult. I use the menu bar at the top of the page to deal with bookmarks. I don't need a sidebar. Give me the option to get rid of it. It will always be there to hit the button on again if I choose to but I know I never will. It interferes with my page. If it isn't fixing something that is broken, and you want to try new things, fine. But give me the option to delete it from my experience.

Dear folks , Every time I click on Firefox for web search , Fragilepottery.com comes up , I simply cannot find a way to delete Fragilepottery , should I uninstall Firefox and install Firefox again ?

Hello i used firefox from as long as i can remember i mean so long there was no acoubt as such always loved Firefox but its turned to crap, and i have to admite its due to WINDOWS shit bags, they force an update then it ether goes so slow wont allow restart at normal update, then same problem every single time it fails the firevox system so then have to re download firefox but it will only allow it if i access it through windows so they have all the data off firefox to windows, so i then have to recovery to windows and remove all data off it. then reinstall firefox again it works fine i just sign in to firefox seperate from windows then after a few months it starts again then try and use firefox again but yet asks me auto in stall from my data from firefox and to windows again then if i refuse to it crashes firefox every single time. GET YOURSELF SEPERATED FROM WINDOWS.... THEY ARE SCUM download the ap and log in to firefox simple as block windows from stealing my shit i love firefox fix it or im out ive been with firefox way over 20 years wow even over 30 years over i think....

I have ugpraded to a new macbook (from an intel macbook, this is my first apple silicon macbook - M4 Max). I am having trouble logging in to many of my accounts only when using firefox on my new macbook - eg. soundtoys, spotify - the only way I can get the logins to work is if I run an incognito window to log in. Is there a fix for this? Best, Joe

I updated my desktop browser today and now there is an expandable sidebar at the left margin of the window showing tool icons for Tabs from other devices, History and Customize sidebar. I can see how to remove tool icons and how to expand or collapse sidebar but can I remove the sidebar completely? Is this an option? I prefer the old look with the browser web page content extending all the way to the left of the screen, without the narrow vertical sidebar.

After yesterday's update, I'm not able to access files in Google Drive using Firefox on Windows. They're greyed out, and when I try to open one, a pop up informs me "This file can't be opened because you're offline." I'm certainly online, and it works on Chrome (ugh). Anyone else experiencing this?

Could you please provide:

I have created a new Firefox profile. Now I want to copy my settings of the Developer Tools to this new profile. This should also include the custom device settings for the Responsive Design Mode. Is there a file (or files) in the profile-folder that contains these settings, and can I copy this file (or files) to the new profile? I found this link about copying profile files, but it doesn't mention devtools settings.

to get access to my bank account via Firefox the bank should send me an access code on my mobile. The page pops up on Firefox, I wait for the code but there is nothing coming onto my phone? I can access my bank via a different website so am wondering if there is a problem with Firefox. By the way, my mobile functions correctly and I receive calls.

Twice now in the past couple of months this has happened to me:

EVEN THOUGH in my Firefox settings this is set to no automatic updates.

What is happening?? How do I turn this off! This seems like a virus? Please advise.

When open Google Drive using Firefox, I cannot click on any documents. I can open folders but the documents in these folders I cannot open. I can open Google Docs and then access documents but all documents through Google Drive including in the Shared Folder are greyed out and when I click on any of these I get the pop up "This file cannot be opened because you're offline." I can access Google Drive and its documents using Chrome. I would prefer to use Firefox.

I have updated Firefox, cleared the history, and emptied cache and cookies. I also logged out of and then back into my gmail account.

Hi Team, I absolutely love the picture in picture functionality in firefox, but it has stopped working once I made a shift to just use the vertical tabs as one of the beta features. the following files couldn be attached outlook web Microsoft Outlook in firefox. Its files more 1 MByte. clearing the cache did not solve the problem. Outlook web in Microsoft Edge no problem with attach files Firefox version 133.0 (64-біт)

I prefer the tabs be below the bookmark bar, and successfully modified the CSS file to do this some time back. Now update 133 has once again pushed them up below the menu bar. What do I have to do to get them back where I want them this time? And why can't you just leave the tab location preference alone when doing updates?

I would like to use a custom new tab (flowtide) not just when opening a new tab, but when opening a new window. If anybody knows how to, or it's just not possible, please let me know.
