I would like to use a custom new tab (flowtide) not just when opening a new tab, but when opening a new window. If anybody knows how to, or it's just not possible, please let me know.

Browsers don’t natively support using a custom new tab (like Flowtide) when opening a new window.

Workarounds: Set as Homepage: If Flowtide has a URL, set it as your homepage and configure new windows to open with the homepage. Use Extensions: Check if Flowtide or tools like New Tab Redirect support this functionality. Manual Shortcut: Open a new tab (Ctrl+T) after opening a window to access Flowtide. You can also contact Flowtide’s developers for feature requests.
