How do I delete individual contacts?
For every e-mail I receive, Thunderbird creates a contact. When I address an e-mail, all of these unwanted contacts pop up. How do I delete the ones I do not want to keep?

This did not help. I was remiss in not stating in my original question I am using a MAC computer running Mavericks OS. I have a "Contacts" book but no "Address Book". None of these contacts are in the "Contacts" book on my computer.
The Thunderbird Address Book was right in front of my old tired eyes. Your answer was perfect. Thanks for the help. I feel so stupid.
