New tab, navigation buttons, and help menu do not work.
I am running 27.0.1 on a MacBook OSX 10.6.8. In the last week, I have noticed the appearance of the browser interface has changed, and when I start the browser it opens a blank page, but I have Google set as my home page. As I progress on the Internet, the navigate back button remains gray, and unusable. The new new tab button is also gray, and inoperable. The keyboard shortcuts for navigate back and new tab do not work either. I was going to try to reset Firefox, but none of the selections in the help menu work, except for Restart with Add-ons Disabled, which I have tried.

Hello smartineau, type about:support in your address/location bar to bring up the Troubleshooting information page and then click the Reset Firefox… button to reset firefox.
thank you
Try to repair the disk permissions:
Try to remove the Firefox plist file (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).

Go to "~/Library/Preferences" and remove the plist file for Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist)
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem
