Firefox isn't opening and no fixes have worked.
When I try to open firefox the process runs but the window will not open. Safe mode will start but disabling everything does not enable ordinary firefox to start. I've reset Firefox from the Safe mode and the problem persists. I reset some winsock thing because It was a solution on yahoo!answers, no effect. I cleaned out my registry of all traces of Firefox. There was no change. Firefox will not start on other accounts. Avast! has web shields disabled. Chrome runs fine (at least as far as Chrome goes).
This is a relatively new computer, an Asus N53S. I had this problem occasionally for the first two weeks, at this point a reset or two was all that was needed. It eventually became impossible to open Firefox so I reinstalled Windows (I was having some issues with Windows so it kinda worked out.) A DAY AFTER Firefox resumed the behavior in it's impossible to start form.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Any additional information that may be needed can be provided. Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You can try to reset Firefox.
Reset creates a new profile and tries to import some settings from the old profile leaving the old profile intact.
