I have been attempting to install and run Firefox again after using Chrome, but now think I have no choice but to go back. AFter installation I continually get "This connection is untrusted" for add-ons and facebook webpages, and I imagine oters. If I attempt to manually allow exception I can get to the site but it is all text, and nothing else. I have checked the system time, it is fine. I have checked certs and they seem fine to the point I trusted everything, still no go. Its the latest Firefox download 11.0. on Windows 7 64-bit machine with Norton Internet Security.

I have also attempted to disable the Norton extensions on Firefox, still no go.

Hi,

Please see this for a general overview. Disabling the Norton Firefox extensions wouldn't change the actual settings in Norton in any way regarding Firefox - a new application on the system. You may also have to go into the different modules and settings in the NIS and trust Firefox and its child processes, or processes and files loaded by Firefox.

Some sites like Facebook have a setting to force a secure connection.

You can look at this link on how to disable forcing a secure connection in Facebook. try to disable forcing a secure connection in Facebook.

Try rebooting your computer. This worked fine for me.

I'm on a Mac, the date and time have nothing to do with the problem, and the solution is here: http://dotnetfish.blogspot.com/2012/05/facebook-invalid-url-requested-url-is.html (use Terminal instructions on a Mac -- about halfway down the page)
