How do I enable double-click on toolbar to open new tab?
I used to open a new empty tab by double clicking next to already opened tabs. This caused opening new one. This was removed in one of the updates :( I miss it a lot.

Does it work when you start Firefox with Add-ons disabled? (Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled)
- Do NOT check any boxes when entering Safe Mode, just click to continue
- If it works in Safe Mode, then an extension is causing the problem and you must determine which extension.
- To exit Safe Mode, click Firefox button > Exit OR File > Exit, wait a few seconds (10-30) for Firefox to close completely, then use your Desktop icon to start Firefox.

You may need to update some plug-ins. Check your plug-ins and update as necessary:
- Plug-in check --> http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
- Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in: Installing (or Updating) the Shockwave plugin with Firefox
- Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape: Installing/Updating Adobe Reader in Firefox
- Shockwave Flash (Adobe Flash or Flash): Updating Flash in Firefox
- Next Generation Java Plug-in for Mozilla browsers: Installing or Updating Java in Firefox
That may be caused by having the tab bar in the windows title bar because the screen is maximized.
You can set the Boolean pref browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar to false on the about:config page.
